This is an excellent service. Best money I’ve spent. I had a query about my package which was resolved very quickly! The admin burden/mental load of changing my surname post marriage has been completely minimised. Instructions were extremely thorough and easy to follow. Half the battle is knowing exactly what each company needs from you and that’s all taken care of. I’m about 80% there after chipping away bit by bit for the last week. A really fantastic idea and service! Made the name switching process after marriage so much more manageable and easier to process. Even though I didn’t end up using all the pre-made letters and forms, it was so helpful to see all of the main required changes needed and to have a point of reference. Was particularly impressed by having the ability to enter personal details (e.g. account details for utilities, NI number, driver’s license number) and have these pre-populate the cover letters automatically. Don’t hesitate to go for this if the thought of changing your name is daunting or seems overwhelming. It reduced so much anxiety and I’d pay for it all over again if I needed to! Make sure to have at least 4-5 copies of your marriage certificate to assist with the process.

I came home from a busy day at work with the daunting aspect of right I need to change my name. I would definitely recommend name switch, it's worth every penny for the time and hassle saved. Although its still a long process to send everything off, my estimate is that it cuts the time down by two thirds at least because the information is there for you. There are still companies that aren't covered, which I've found are generally retailers, but they cover all of the main bases. Plus, the generic letter that's is so helpful for those additional companies that you think of

A few weeks ago I tweeted about wanting to pay someone to help with all the admin of changing my name after getting married. Really useful service. Not only did they send standard letters to send to each company I needed to change my name with, but most helpful were the accompanying instructions telling me the procedure for changing my name with each company, the documents they would accept, address to send it to etc. Even if I could have done the letters myself this helpful explanatory document saved loads of time which otherwise I would need to have spent checking each company’s website for their specific name change procedure. After all the stresses of planning the actual wedding, switching my name wasn’t a priority for me. NameSwitch was a life saver as all I had to do was enter a few details and tick the appropriate boxes and they sent me all the forms (already filled out with my details) so all I had to do was print and send.

I changed my name via deed poll. When I first decided to change my name I didn't know where to start. I was calling solicitors who didn't ring me back and I was searching for information which I couldn't find! It got to the point where I almost just didn't want the hassle, but then I found this website! You just select everything which you need to change and the documents are loaded onto your profile which you can then download and send off whenever you have the time! Extremely happy with the service and I would recommend to anyone who is either getting married or changing via deed poll!

I innocently thought it would be easy to change my name after marriage! Little did I realise I would have to generate 30 letters to inform everyone of my name change. Not to mention finding addresses and forms. Name Switch generated all letter templates and pre filled in the forms. All I have to do now is provide the proofs and post them with any costs of changing, such as my passport. They've made the whole process so much easier and the price was very reasonable. I really do recommend it!
I think it is a great idea to help people making this stressful admin task much easier and takes off hours of research to work out how to notify all the relevant companies. That’s the last thing you want to do after all the wedding planning. The customer service was also outstanding and very helpful when I had some questions. I had pretty much no idea where to start with changing my name but NameSwitch made it SO easy, I typed in a few details I had to hand and my letters to send to all the companies that I need to inform of the change, were generated. Changing your name is something that is so unknown that the idea of doing it is really quite daunting and stressful and very admin based! Which is my idea of hell! But this service literally took ten minutes on the computer and brought up such a simple and organised pack, just for me. All the info I could possibly need was supplied. So simple and I am very happy. I would recommend to anyone.

I hadn’t even thought of some of the organisations on the list, but the list on the site was so helpful! It offers a checklist of who you need to tell about your name change. No need to mentally assess your life and all the organisations you interact with that need your new details – it’s all there. I chose 13 of the companies listed and there was also the ‘other’ option for companies not listed, and NameSwitch provided me with a handy letter template to use for that one. I had to enter my details just once, click a button, and a zip file of all the PDFs I needed landed in my downloads folder. In some instances, it was simply a case of printing and posting – even covering letters are provided. There were also instructions and pointers for completing the more complex forms (Land Registry - yikes!). It must have saved me hours of research and form filling time.

Excellent service. Simply tick the various organisations you want to update of your name change and these guys do the rest. All address details and who needs what. I.e. some companies only require a phone call. This service saves time and hassle. So glad I did this. Very helpful and fast to answer questions. Thanks girls!!
